Mission Mobile Pantry: an Invitation to Partner with us πŸšπŸš€πŸ’ͺ🏼

At Silver City Gospel Mission, our calling has always been simple: meet people where they are and serve with dignity, consistency, and care. This April marks an exciting step forward in that mission.

For the first time, our new refrigerated vanβ€”a 2025 Ford Transit T-250, now on the road with fresh signage thanks to J&J Signsβ€”will begin making regular runs beyond Silver City. Our first stop will be in Hurley.

With thanks to J&J Signs!

From there, we’re preparing to expand into communities like Mimbres, Santa Clara, Bayard, and Hachitaβ€”places where families often face real barriers to accessing nutritious food.

Not everyone can come to us…and so we’re going to them.

A New Chapter: Pantry to the People

With this new capacity, the Silver City Gospel Mission is launching the next phase of our outreach: traveling beyond our town limits and bringing food directly to underserved areas across Grant County.

This isn’t just about transportation, it’s about access.

It’s about ensuring that geography, mobility, or circumstance don’t determine whether a family gets food on the table.

Every mile driven represents meals delivered, relationships built, and hope offered to those who need it most.

Two Opportunities to Multiply Your Impact

As we step into this new chapter in our organization, the Mission is inviting our community to join with us during two important events that are coming up:

These events are powerful moments when generosity is amplifiedβ€”and when matching gifts can make an extraordinary difference.

A Special Invitation to Local Businesses and Banks in Silver City

For local banks and business leaders, this is a unique opportunity to directly multiply the impact of your community giving.

By offering matching funds during these events, you:

  • Encourage greater participation from our individual donors

  • Double (or even triple) the impact of every gift!

  • Demonstrate visible, tangible investment in the well-being of the people here in Grant County

Most importantly, you help to ensure that this new outreachβ€”this van, these routes, these mealsβ€”reach the people who need it most.

Matching partnerships don’t just support a program. They are critically important in helping us launch this life-changing effort.

Here’s What Your Support Makes Possible

With your partnership, we can:

  • Expand regular food deliveries into rural and underserved communities

  • Provide fresh, perishable items safely through refrigerated transport

  • Reach families who are currently beyond the reach of traditional services

  • Strengthen the network of care across all of Grant County

This is how a community takes care of its ownβ€”together.

Join Us in Feeding More Families in Grant County

Whether you’re an individual donor, a local business, or a financial institution, your support matters right now.

We’re building something that will serve this region not just for a seasonβ€”but for years to come.

If you’re interested in becoming a matching partner for Give Grandly or Giving Day, we would love to connect with you.

Together, let’s bring the pantry to the people. Together let’s make sure that no neighbor of ours ever has to go hungry.
